Deudas epistemológicas del pensamiento complejo con la racionalidad clásica

Introduction: Complex thinking maintains points of contact at the epistemological level with classical rationality that, far from being overcome, constitutes pending debts to be elucidated.
Objective: To substantiate from the epistemological angle the links of continuity of complex thought with classical rationality considered as epistemic debts not yet overcome by it.
Method: A transdisciplinary descriptive research was carried out based on the documentary analysis of the existing bibliography, about the indisputable links that subsist between classical rationality and complex thought, considered as epistemic debts of the latter. Analysis-synthesis, historical-logical, and ascension from the abstract to the concrete were used.
Result: It was possible to establish the categorical links and points of contact in the existing epistemic approaches between both conceptions, confirming the underlying limitations or epistemic debts between both perspectives.
Conclusions: The epistemological assumptions that support complex thinking contain elements typical of the approaches of classical rationality, which have not yet been overcome or consequently addressed by said thinking and are manifested as epistemic debts of its theoretical formulations.
