JOSÉ MARTÍ: A LOOK FROM AXIOLOGY AND ETHICAL THOUGHT

Abstract

Introduction: Preserving the identity values ​​of the Nation and its profession, in the area of ​​health, is a challenge for education at the University. The training process of the current Cuban University must contribute to this end. Objective: Demonstrate the importance of Martí's legacy for the education in ethical values ​​of students of Medical Sciences. Methods: A qualitative investigation was carried out using the discourse analysis technique, 14 bibliographic sources were consulted using the following theoretical level methods: Document analysis; Historical-Logical; Analytical-synthetic; Inductive-deductive; At the empirical level, the methods were used: Scientific Observation. Development: The edges of Martí's ideology were so many that such a simple tribute would not be enough. The present research took a brief tour of axiology, Martí's Ethics and its contribution to education in values. The History of Cuba subject aims to form true men and women capable of transforming political, economic, social and cultural contexts within Cuban society. Conclusions: The apostle of Cuban independence is a reference for educating in values ​​and training better people, who will have the mission of caring for and ensuring the health of their fellow human beings.
