Doctor Julio Jané Jané, a transcendental man from Guantanamo

Abstract

Introduction: History is one of the most important branches of human knowledge, the fundamental basis of the culture of every professional. Local history allows us to know where we come from and where we are going to.

Objective: To describe the life story of Dr. Julio Jané Jané.

Methods: A search and review was conducted in Spanish. Information from 2018 to 2023 was collected in the Google Scholar search engine, websites, and printed bibliographic sources.

Development: Aspects related to the life and work of Dr. Julio Jané Jané, his beginning in the area of radiotherapy, his friendship with Marie Curie and his contribution to national and international scientific progress were addressed.

Conclusions: Dr. Jané is an eternal source of ethical and revolutionary values. Publicizing his life and work is a sign of gratitude to such a famous personality.
