COVID-19 pandemic from a materialist dialectic perspective
Keywords:
pandemic; COVID-19; materialist dialectic.Abstract
The objective of this article was to explain some polemical approaches to the COVID-19 pandemic from a dialectical-materialist perspective. Social systems that promoted health care as a business failed in the face of the health crisis. Only knowledge and solidarity that was made available to humanity could save in these circumstances.
Some of the categories of the materialist dialectic were reflected from the analysis of the essence and the phenomenon: in this case, the essence consists of the multiple actions of prevention, cure and rehabilitation provided by health professionals, and the phenomenon is manifested in how each person assumes the disease, which demands individualized attention.
